The company is headquartered at downtown Hamburg and has 13 other locations worldwide with a total of around 100 employees. ACT has been training wholesale and foreign trade specialists for many years and regularly offers apprenticeships in this field.

Both during and after the apprenticeship, the profession is characterised by diverse and responsible tasks:
- Market and procurement analysis: Market observation, evaluation of sources of supply and offers, and purchasing of goods
- Sales & customer service: Sale of goods and services, account management and complaint handling
- Price and risk calculation: Calculation of sales and foreign exchange prices and assessment of credit risks
- Logistics & transport: Planning, management and control of logistics processes and conclusion of transport contracts
- Foreign trade & customs: Application of international trade, customs and payment regulations
- Documentaion and payment processing: Processing of document transactions and execution of payment transactions
- International communication: Correspondence and negotiations in one or more foreign languages

Your apprenticeship at ACT
As flexible as you are
With us, you have the choice: we offer various apprenticeship programmes in wholesale and foreign trade management, tailored to your interests and individual development. You can complete your apprenticeship in the traditional way or in a shortened format, with or without a degree in business administration.
In addition, you have the option of starting an accompanying degree programme – either halfway through your second year of training or after your training, shortened to just one year. This allows you to optimally combine theory and practice and acquire valuable know-how at an early stage.
We work closely with the vocational school at Lämmermarkt and ECBM University to offer you the best possible framework for your training and studies. This allows you to shape your career according to your ideas – practical, flexible and with clear prospects.

Our recruitment process step by step
Submit application
Simply send us your CV and relevant references – a cover letter is not necessary. It is important to us that we get a quick and clear overview of you.
For trainees: Screening test
When you apply for an apprenticeship, we will invite you to take a short test. This will help us to get to know your strengths and talents even better.
First introduction to HR
Our HR department will contact you for a brief call via Microsoft Teams. This will give us an opportunity to answer any initial questions and get to know each other.
Personal interview
The next step is a face-to-face meeting at our office. This will give you the opportunity to meet HR, your potential supervisor and the management team.
Contract
If we are a good fit for each other, you will receive a contract offer from us. Once you have accepted, we look forward to welcoming you as a new member of our team!
